On 3rd Feb, 2012 Prize Distribution ceremony for the Gita contest organized in which around 71 schools from Delhi and NCR participated . During Gita contest 14145 school students and around 1000 teacher visited the templefrom last week of Nov 11 to 22 Jan 12 participated.

Then in all schools Gita contest was held .Prize distribution for the contest was done in this event. Student also enjoyed Ecstatic kirtan by Radha Raas Bihari Pr , Drama By Adi Yogi Pr.

Student got advice from of HG Mohan Rupa Pr, HG Mahamantra pr, HG Gopal Pr, Hg Ram Bhadra Pr, HG Ananya Prem Pr .

This contest was organized by IYF , Delhi under guidance of HG Sundar Gopal Pr & HG Atma Tript Pr. All IYF devotee did very hard work during whole month and made this event successful.

27 devotees from Noida including those pursuing ashray course andother devotees who are regularly attending our weekly programs went on a2-day camp to Vrindavan. Four students from JSS college also participated inthe camp. It was a good opportunity and great experience and learning forall the devotees to visit Vrinadavan in the association of HG Sundara GopalPrabhu.

In the camp devotee had lectures on "What we do and why we do" and"Power of Association", we also had dramas on "LiquidBeauty", "Maha Murkha" and "Kailash" follwed byelaborate discussions about the message of the drama. In this 2day campwe visited places including Kesi ghat, Shri Shri Radha Govinda Devmandir, Nandagaon and Barsana. On sunday morning we were all blessed witha chance to attend the mangala arati on the auspicious day of NityanandaTrayodasi in Krishna Balaram Mandir. After magala arti we had a video showon "Your ever well wisher" followed by discussion. While we werein the bus, we had extempore session. All through out the camp HG SundaraGopal Pr has led a melodious kirtan in which everybody particicpatedvery enthusiastically.

On Sunday ISKCON Patna temple celebrated great Festival where HG Ram Bhadra Pr presented impressive seminar on "Art of mind control". Temple President HG Krishna Kripa pr blessed the devotes with small speech. HG Nandgopal Pr was overall -coordinator for the festival. Around 65-70 students from different Coll. & IIT-JEE Coaching center in Patna attended the Sunday festival. Student enjoyed Seminar, Drama, Video show & also enjoyed dancing ecstatic harinam kirtan in temple, ended with delicious feast prasadam.

All IYF Patna Devotess participated in this festival very enthusiastically. They were decorating the temple with varieties of flower, rangoli. Heart touching drama under the guidance of ISHU pr. they have also distributed many SP books on book stall.

As you all know December month is Bhagavad Gita Marathon Month. Apart from general book distribution IYF under guidance of HG Sundar Gopal Das, distributed 25,000 Bhagavad Gitas through school preaching. More than 100 School visited Temple , chanted and danced on the Hare Krishna MahaMantra, Took parasadam, Watched Vedic Expo.

It is that time of the year, when mass distribution of Srila Prabhupada's transcendental books happen. These books contain the highest message for the spiritual welfare of the whole society, country and mankind.

The month of December is celebrated world wide as the Bhagavad Gita Distribution Marathon by ISKCON Devotees.

Like every year, under guidance of His Grace Sundar Gopal Prabhu, IYF - East of Kailash has also taken a pledge to spread the mercy of Lord Krishna in form of these books.

IYF will target to distribute books through the channels of School Preaching and Youth preaching. The total target for 2011 Marathon is 45,000 books.

We hope to serve Srila Prabhupada in his mission of spreading Krishna Consciousness, and we pray for the blessings of his Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja and Vaishnavas to be able to accomplish this.

On the 14th of November, His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja gave Spiritual initiation 38 youth associated with IYF. Many devotees who got initiated have been associated with the Krishna Consciousness Movement for around 2-3 years.

It was a day of great celebrations as many PBTs, NBTs and other got initiated together at Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi Mandir. Maharaja very mercifully gave a lecture on "10 offences to be avoided against Holy name". After which he gave initiation beads and awarded spiritual names to each candidate.

UMANG @ Ghaziabad

On 28 August, IYF celebrated UMANG - The festival of Joy & Inspiration in Ghaziabad. This was the second festival in series to be conducted in Ghaziabad.

The theme for the festival was "Nama, Nami, Tsunami" and the key lecture was given by IYF President, His Grace Sundar Gopal Prabhu. The festival also included ROCK Kirtan, Book Distribution and drama.

Smt Damayanti Goyal, Mayor of Ghaziabad was the chief guest for the occasion. She also cut the cake and offered it to Sri Sri Jagannath Baladeva, Subhadra Devi for their pleasure.

The boys who attended the festival enthusiastically participated in the Congegational Chanting of the Holy Names of Lord Krishna. It is said that one can instantly feel spiritual ecstacy by chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra, which was evident by the blissful expressions on the face of the participants.

We especially thank His Grace Radha Rasbihari Prabhu for leading an ecstatic Kirtan, His Grace Adi Yogi Prabhu for drama and His Grace Rama Bhadra Prabhu & His Grace Natavara Krishna Prabhu and team of IYF devotees who worked very hard to make this festival a super success and pleasure for Vaishnavas, Guru & Srila Prabhupada. Especially we like to acknowledge efforts of His Grace Ram Narayan Prabhu & Sopan Prabhu.

Spiritual Camps Coming Up..!!

For the pleasure of our IYF devotees & members, Spiritual Camps in the auspicious month of Kartik have been planned.

Kartik: Kartik Month corresponds to the Oct-Nov month in the Hindi calendar and is considered to be the most auspicious and suitable for advancing spiritually. Amongst the Vaishnavas, it is also known as Damodar Masa (Damodar - A name of Lord Krishna; masa - month) because Lord Krishna performed the attractive pastime of "Ukhal-Bandhan Lila". Devotees from all over the world visit holy places like Sri Vrindavan & Sri Mayapur Dham.

The details of the camps are as follows:

12 - 16 October: Camp for Ashraya & Spiritual Scientists Groups' Members

26 - 30 October: Camp for BhaktiSiddhanta Sabha Members.

The Yatra will be organized in the beautiful forests of Vraja where Lord Krishna performed divine pastimes 5000 years ago. The places include Goverdhan Hill, Gokul, Charan Pahari and many other relatively unknown places.

This camp will be an actual camp where devotees would be camping out in the nature and taking dips in the Holy water of Sri Yamuna. The camp will be filled with Krishna Kirtan, Krishna Katha & Krishna Prasadam. This is a unique opportunity for some Sadhu Sanga and getting the requisite inspiration to advance in our Krishna Consciousness.Do Not Miss this.

Maha UMANG, the mega youth festival was conducted by IYF Delhi in lieu of Sri Krishna Janmashtmi Celebrations. A huge gathering of 2500 youths gathered for the event. it started off with the chanting of Vedic Hymns to invoke auspiciousness.

First lecture was given by His Holiness Bhakti Madhurya Govind Swami, an american renunciate who's been associated with the movement for over 40 years now. He travels extensively in India now to give guidance to the youth for a successful & happy future.

Following this there was a Drama by the Vaikuntha Players. The theme was "Mera Bharat Kahaan....? Adi Yogi Das, the director along with his cast & crew consisting of bhakta Sanjeev, Sarvadarshi Das, bhakta Anshuman, bhakta Kartikey & others drew a fantastic response from the audience for their performance.

His Grace Sundar Gopal Das, IYF Director also addressed the youth on the rampant corruption in today's society and how by cultivating Spiritual life, one can overcome the vicious cycle of struggle & frustration in this competitive life. The Key note for the program, "Naama, Naami, Tsunami" was given by His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja. He is the GBC for ISKCON Delhi and travels exensively in India, Russia, Europe and North Americal to preach the message of Bhagavad Gita for a better society. He is also incharge of Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT).

The Chief Guest got the festival was Smt Krishna Tirath, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Women & Child Development,Government of India. The minister applauded the efforts of ISKCON and its youth wing, IYF to help bring up better citizens, better human beings for a better future.

The festival ended with the Harinama Rock, performed by the band of Mauritius musicians led by Radha Rasbihari Das.

IYF recently celebrated UMANG especially for student from IIT Delhi and youngsters from surrounding areas like Jia Sarai, Lado Sarai, Munirka and others. The auditorium was filled over its capacity with a strong attendance of 700 audience.

The program started with Kirtan led by Sacinandan Gaur Prabhu which created a very devotional atmosphere. This was followed by a lecture by HG Sundar Gopal prabhu on the topic "Hidden power of Youth."

HG Adi Yogi Prabhu then engaged the audience with his solo performance in the drama entitled, "Conversation with God". Then the Guests of Honor were invited on the stage to share their views on the contribution of IYF to the society.

Later on the audience was led to Temple hall where HG Mohan Rupa Prabhu led an ectatic kirtan and influenced everybody to dance with the core of their heart. Finally the program ended with the sumptuous feast.

To commemmorate the auspicious day of Lord Jagannatha's Rath Yatra in Puri, IYF Delhi also celebrated the festival wherein the Lord of the universe was seated on a chariot. The chariot was fully decorated by team of very expert IYF devotees. There was ecstatic kirtan by senior Vaishnavas. The yatra concluded in temple hall, where everybody danced enthusiastically as roaring & joyous kirtan was being led by HG janardan prabhu !!

IYF organized a festival to celebrate the spirit of devotee association which will bring about a revolution in the consciousness of the masses. Viplava was meant to provide nourishment and inspiration to the devotional life of devotees. For this Lectures by exalted Vaishnavas were arranged. To make the event complete, there was a cultural aspect to it as well. Vaikuntha Players presented a great play on the theme "Mera Bharat Kahaan..?"

The seminar focused on the current problems rampant in the society and the solutions. It was concluded that educational institutes play a major role in developing the society. If it inculcates spiritual education along with the regular courses, there would be real advancement of society towards peaceful prosperity.

For the 2nd time, a grand festival for youth was organized in Lakshmi Nagar. Around 250 boys attended.

HG Sundar Gopal Prabhu gave a lecture on “Mera Bharat Kahaan…?” which was met with huge applause from the audience. There was lot of interaction in terms of questions and answers between audience and the speaker.

HG Adi Yogi Prabhu this time again surpassed the performance benchmark set by his previous drama themes like “God on Trial” and “ Chanakya”. The audience were really absorbed in the drama performance. Later an ecstatic kirtan was led where all the audience participated with great joy and enthusiasm.

The program ended with prasadam and a lot of personal interaction between IYF counselors and audience.

Devotees from BACE celebrated a get-together recently. It was on the occasion of ending of the annual session before many students leave for home. Also it was special because two of our bright young devotees, Nipun Pr and Amit Pr graduated from DTU and would be stepping into the professional world. This celebration also served as a farewell to these devotees.

The evening was made Krishna Conscious by HG Sundar Gopal Pr's lecture on Youth & KC and ecstatic kirtan by HG Ram Bhadra Pr. HG Ananya Prem prabhu led the glorification of the graduating students followed by Damodar Hari pr, Saurabh Pr and other BACE residents. The event culminated with a sumptuous feast prepared with love by Dinanath Caitanya Pr and BACE residents.

Program in Yamuna Vihar

His Grace Rajiv Lochan Prabhu is preaching in Yamuna Vihar for past 1.5 years. Recently the IYF Delhi team assisted prabhuji in the weekly program. Around 10-12 devotees from Yamuna Vihar regularly visit temple to attend morning program. A special lecture is also arranged for them to be given by HG Sundar Gopal Pr and HG Ram Bhadra Pr.

HG Natavara Krishna Pr is the overall coordinator of program in Yamuna Vihar and a new BACE is slated to open up in the area soon.

On 22 May, a special program was arranged. HG Mohan Rupa Prabhuji, Temple President gave the lecture and Vaikuntha Players enacted the humorous but instructive pantomime on "Me, My Mind and Kali".

IYF Delhi was fortunate to host His Holiness Bhakti Vikash Swami Maharaja, a leading Sannyasi disciple of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada. Maharaja gave a lecture on "Urgency to take up Krishna Consciousness" to the assembled youth in IYF Seminar Hall.

Around 120 boys attended the lecture. Later on the attendees also bought Maharaja's books and got them autographed by Maharaja himself.

His Holiness Prabodhanand Swami graced the ocassion and gave his valuable association by giving a empowering lecture on "Teachings of Prahlada Maharaja" highlighting the importance of cultivating the mood of renunciation for

progressing in spiritual life. Around 80 devotees attended the program.

Brief Intro about His Holiness:

Maharaja was introduced to ISKCON in 1984. He has led the travelling Sankirtan Party for 20 years and was based in Vrindavan. Maharaja is the first Sannyasi disciple of His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja. He travels all over the India and is engaged in book distribution and giving lectures.

His Holiness Prabodhanand Swami Maharaja, was kind enough to bestow his divine association to IYF devotees in last month. On 13 May, Maharaja visited Gaura-dhama BACE in Gurgaon. The BACE devotees had a magnificent arrangement and gave a very grand reception to Maharaja. Around 50 boys attended Maharaja's lecture on "Becoming serious in Krishna Consciousness".

Very opulent feast prasadam was arranged coordinated by Sunny Prabhu and overall event management was coordinated by Vinod Prabhu.

Braja Retreat

IYF devotees are engaged in preaching service round the year and consequently sometimes miss out on the annual yatras to Mayapur and Kartik Vrindavan. To enthuse devotees with spiritual potency, the IYF conducted a 5 day retreat to Braja. All the IYF team, including the preachers and facilitators attended this
retreat.

Guided by His Grace Radha Charan Prabhu the devotees visited the forests of Braja namely: Kamya-vana, Kumud-vana, Madhu-vana, Tal-vana, Bel-vana, Bhandir-vana
Many places where Krishna played his pastime but are unknown or unpopular were visited during these retreats.

The retreat mainly focussed on Reading, Hearing and Chanting the holy name, qualities, form and instructions of the lord. HG Sundar Gopal Prabhu and HG Ananya Prem Prabhu gave nectarian classes for the benefit of devotees. SPecial Thanks to HG Pandav Prem Prabhu and HG Ram Bhadra Prabhu for co-ordinating overall management.

As a part of the camp, the devotees experienced the true spirit of simple living, high thinking by staying the night in forests, cooking own food. The important service of cooking prasadam was expertly done by HG Paramhans Pran Prabhu, bhakta Mukesh, bhakta Vijay and bhakta Anup.

In all the retreat was very enlivening and devotees felt spiritually surcharged to render service to Krishna as per the instructions the spiritual master and authority.

UMANG in Ahemdabad

For the first time, IYF Delhi conducted the UMANG festival in assocition with devotees in Ahemdabad. Devotees worked very hard to arrange for the festival and managed to assemble around 400 boys. The attendees included College students, Coaching students and other devotees connected with temple.

Devotees from Delhi went a day earlier to ensure and facilitate the successful execution. HG Sundar Gopal Prabhu gave the key note on "Hidden Power of Youth". This was followed by a solo drama presentation by HG Adi Yogi Prabhu in the role of Krishna urging the youngsters to accept Krishna Consciousness for a peaceful and happy life.

We would like to thank the following devotees from Ahemdabad who worked very hard on this project: HG Vishnu Nama Prabhu, HG Vishnu Bhakta Pr, HG Kalanath Caitanya Prabhu, HG Uddhava Priya Pr, HG Haladhara Sundar Pr, bhakta Harsh, bhakta Shivam, bhakta Jignesh, bhakta Bhargava and bhakta Umanga. These devotees helped right from the inception to stage setup, sound setup and backup service following the program. We also express our heartfelt gratitude to HG Yasomati Nandan Prabhu, disciple of Srila Prabhupada and RGB to give us this service to preach the youth of Ahemdabad.

Following the immense success of UMANG in Lakshmi Nagar, IYF celebrated the youth festival again in Ghaziabad for the youngsters connected to programs being held in Ghaziabad. HG Sridham Prabhu, a disciple of Srila Prabhupada was also graced the festival. HG Sundar Gopal Prabhu gave an inspiring lecture on "Mera Bharat Mahan" to around 560 gathered participants. The lecture's popularity was evident from the highly interactive QnA session later on.

The participants were mainly College students from AKGIT, ABES, SKGIT and KIT.

The participants had a good time being enertained by Adi Yogi Prabhu and his team of Vaikuntha Players showcasing their hit drama, "The Trial" and then dancing to the ecstaic Kirtan led by Radha Rasbihari Prabhu.

The program ended with prasadam and ineractive sessions between participants and the devotees.

Just like every year, the devotees of IYF went to the tour of Sridham Mayapur and Navadwip Mandal Parikrama, where thousands of devotees come every year from all over the world. About 35 IYF devotees went this year to perform the Parikrama. The group was led by HG Rama Narayana Pr.

During the camp, the devotees also visited the Mayapur Gurukula, and Goshala. The devotees got the divine association of many senior sannyasis and Prabhupada disciples.
